Early work

Marjana Pahor has been influenced by Italian abstract art throughout her High School Art teacher and Slovenian printmaker, Bojan Kovačič.
On her first work at Ljubljana Academy, ALUO, she was exploring drawing, painting and printmaking.
In summer 1988, 1989 and 1990 she traveled to Barcelona, Catalonia to participate in the Printmaking Summer School, “ l´Escola Internacinal d´Esitu”, where she met important printmakers and teacher from all the world. Marjana found her voice and artistic freedom through experimenting and learning advanced printmaking techniques. In 1989 she took printmaking class, Color Viscosity Printmaking, with Jan Stefan Pettersson, currently professor of Graphic at KHIO Oslo Academy.
